so we had all kinds of nsf reps and undersecretaries from dept of state, dept of energy, dept of defense, dept homeland security, and a congress person here for the dedication of the new station building. since i'm on the trauma team, i was one of the "medical escorts" for the vips to keep an eye on them in case of altitude or cold weather trouble. then i did a quick costume change to serve them dinner. after they flew out, we got to have our own party, south pole style.
