i'm a polie

and i don't mean pole dancing. i just signed a contract for a new job, this one at the south pole. i'll continue working at mcmurdo for another month then head to the pole around halloween. i'll be working in supply, learn to drive a loader, living in a jamesway (korean war era tent cabin) at 10,000' elevation whereas mcm is at sea level. the temps are generally 40 degrees colder than mcm. the other day it was -75. flights don't fly there until the temps get warmer than -50.
