spent the work part of the day helping the field safety team profile sea ice cracks. we drilled and measured and found spots where vehicles could cross on the way to a field camp for seal research. saw a seal carcass freeze-dried from the elements.
good views of mt erebus and mt terror. the sun is bright these days, gotta be careful, there's a hole in the ozone down here after all.
the wind was pretty gusty out on the sea ice. here's a movie of it...
and i was so tired on the bumpy ride home i kept hitting my head against the wall of the hagglund as i nodded off. finally i just fell asleep forward into my "big red" jacket.
